Netpalpus is a network monitoring tool which helps you keep an eye on all the devices included in your subnet: workstations, routers, switches, etc.
after starting the program, you need to search for the network devices: you can specify an ip range, which can be remembered for future searches; advanced 'search' options include the number of threads, snmp community, use/exclude netbios, ping timeout and the number of ping attempts before completing a connection. the search results will be displayed including the device name, health and ip address. by clicking on any of the devices, you can obtain information regarding the services (ftp, telnet, smtp, http, pop3, etc.), the services' status (open/closed) and the interface (health and ip number).
